As we continue to grow and establish our presence in the market, we are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Entry-Level Automated Test Engineer to join our team.


Job Description:
As an Associate Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET), you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products and projects. You will work closely with our development team to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts, as well as identify and report bugs and issues. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software development and quality assurance while contributing to the success of our product and projects.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with software developers and quality assurance engineers to understand project requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Execute automated tests to verify the functionality and performance of software applications.
  • Identify and report software defects, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Continuously learn and stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies within the organization.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Proficiency in applying object-oriented and functional programming principles.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and practices, particularly Agile.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks such as Playwright and Cypress.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of software development and quality assurance.

The pay range for this role is:

55,000 - 65,000 AUD per year (Australia)
