Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to: payroll, fixed assets, debt, accruals, fixed assets, and leases.
  • Review, approve, and post journal entries.
  • Ensure banking transactions are addressed, recorded, and reconciled.
  • Maintain general ledger balance sheet reconciliations, including the review and correction of account balances.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting close cycles and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Coach and mentor three direct reports, providing guidance and support.
  • Assist with preparation of financial statements and monthly cash flows.
  • Work with external auditors to support audit and disclosure requirements.

  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed to support decision-making across the organization.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues and provide financial support as needed.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Manage and monitor accounting systems and software to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting standards to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Coordinate with the finance team to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Lead and participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience working in general corporate or public accounting, including 2+ years as a supervisor/leader over accounting teams.
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Experience supporting accounting operations and reporting across multiple business units with strong accounting research skills.
  • Experience with foreign currency.
  • Experience with NetSuite and Advanced Microsoft Excel skills a plus.
  • Strong project management experience, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adaptable to changing priorities and evolving responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and build strong working relationships.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience in the SaaS industry or technology sector is highly desirable.
