About the role

We are looking to add a Network Engineer to our growing Operational Technology department. As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining and configuration of our network infrastructure. 

This hybrid position will directly support our Operational Technology operations at our Rockdale, TX site.

Essential Functions

• Configuring network hardware: Installing and setting up servers, routers, and switches
• Handling repairs and maintenance: Upgrading, maintaining, and troubleshooting network issues
• Assisting with Network Design and Architecture
• Firmware and License Maintenance for Network Hardware
• Ensuring network security: Implementing security measures, monitoring network availability, and maintaining integrity
• Installing systems: Supporting internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Expert understanding of IT Infrastructure and Networking Fundamentals
• Expertise in Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, and similar Hardware
• Self-reliant and proactive, capable of taking the initiative on existing and new projects

Education and Experience 

• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS/CS or equivalent experience (preferred, not required)
• 5+ years experience with Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and Networking
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred
