About the Role


As an engineering manager of the enterprise team within the ATS product at Rippling, you would be responsible for delivering core functionality that enables the largest of Rippling's customers to effectively plan, forecast, and hire for their growing teams.


The team will be responsible for developing a world-class headcount planning product that integrates seamlessly with Rippling and various third-party integrations. The integration suite will enable Rippling's top customers to incorporate their external recruiting data and publicly advertise their job openings. This team will create a combination of user-facing products and interfaces intended for other engineering teams.


There are challenges for the team that range from building for usability to scaling for massive growth and a wide array of engineering requirements.You'll be working on defining, driving, and delivering the team's technical roadmap, hiring talented engineers who can continue building our scalable systems and determining the underlying infrastructure at Rippling for the next 5 years and beyond.


What you will do

  • Build and drive day-to-day processes that lead to a highly efficient team of high performing engineers
  • Build a multi-quarter roadmap that drives operational excellence, performance and reliability.
  • Build and leverage partnerships across the company to land lasting impact
  • Coaching and growing the individuals on your team through mentorship and performance management.
  • Qualifications
  • At least 7 years of experience in software development and delivery, with in-depth knowledge of software architectures
  • At least 3 years of experience as an Engineering Manager in leading small and mid-sized development teams
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or experience in a relevant field
  • Solid programming skills, a track record, and passion for improving the code structure and architecture to enhance testability and maintainability
  • Team development skills: ability to set a roadmap and goals for a team and every one of its members, delegate intelligently, offer engineering advice, deliver frequent and transparent feedback, work with team members to grow in their careers, and ensure everyone delivers quality results
  • Great project management skills to lead, care about product ownership, an outstanding customer-centric mindset, and solving problems for our customers.

A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed below.

The pay range for this role is:

162,000 - 283,500 USD per year (US San Francisco Bay Area)
