Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.
Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.
Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.
We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.
About the role
We’re forming a new team that will build systems, libraries, and tools to formalize and extend our platform components, so that they can be easily adopted and maintained by our products. This team will work alongside a set of new product teams to build robust abstraction layers. As a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, you’ll be one of the first hires, playing a central role in shaping the direction, the technical architecture, and the team culture. You’ll work across a range of technologies and systems at Rippling — permissions, workflows, AI and many more. At other companies, this team might be called “frameworks” or “foundations”.
This is an opportunity to build a platform from the ground up: you’ll collaborate closely with platform teams, product teams, and engineering leadership to take ideas from whiteboard to production, move fast in tight feedback loops, and make smart technical decisions that stand the test of scale. We're looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, cares about the craft of software, and is excited to build systems that are both delightful to use and reliable under the hood.
You’ll have significant ownership, a voice in what we build and how we build it, and a chance to influence the foundation of something ambitious.
