About the role

Rippling has become one of the fastest growing companies of all time by primarily building HR applications. But, the power of Rippling and its vision is to make businesses more efficient - across people, spend and technology. We’ve launched an IT business that’s rapidly scaling. To continue this trajectory, we’ll need to double down on developing and launching IT products to both our existing customer base and to new buyers looking first for the right IT solution.


That’s where you’ll come in.


As IT Go-To-Market (GTM) Principal you’ll own end-to-end strategy and execution for Rippling’s IT marketing efforts. You’ll ensure that Rippling is the preferred way lean IT teams ensure their companies securely manage identity, access, and devices – and drive hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue as we scale over the next couple of years. 


This is an amazing role for someone who wants to drive the marketing strategy and execution for a business unit – using a full complement of product, content, brand, and demand gen marketing know-how –  in a hypergrowth, performance-driven company.


This role is based in our San Francisco or New York office.


What you will do

  • Use a GM mentality to manage our IT business; you’ll drive marketing and sales to optimize the funnel across positioning, pipeline, win rates, retention, and more.
  • Develop messaging, positioning, personas, and more to inform our GTM efforts, backed by a deep understanding of our customers
  • Partner closely with the Product organization to define the product roadmap
  • Build high-impact campaigns that drive pipeline and revenue, and always-on engagement to educate and engage throughout a customer’s lifecycle
  • Educate our sales teams and create sales tools / collateral to help them win
  • Be a spokesperson, evangelist, and thought leader with analysts and customers.

What you will need

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, consulting, business operations, or general management. (2+ years in marketing highly preferred)
  • You are an exceptional problem solver. You can decompose complex problems, identify patterns from noisy data, develop action plans, and effectively communicate insights
  • You pride yourself in making the impossible possible. You are resourceful, have a bias towards action, and get energy juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves (we’re a lean team)!
  • You are results-oriented and evidence-driven. You speak the truth even when it's inconvenient and admit what you don't know.
  • You are superb at influencing and collaborating with a variety of personalities and get folks aligned, even when there are competing priorities. You’re comfortable engaging and influencing third parties inside and outside the company.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. You’re an excellent storyteller.
  • Proven track record building winning teams.
  • A creative spark. While analytical chops are critical to your success, we also pride ourselves on being able to think outside the box.

A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed below.

The pay range for this role is:

162,000 - 283,500 USD per year (US Tier 1)
