About The Role

The Identity team's mission is to provide a single source of truth for authentication and security policy management for all users and applications, enabling customers to confidently scale their organization on Rippling.

We're looking for a technical leader who will be responsible for building highly scalable and reliable authentication infrastructure that powers all Rippling products. You will also have the opportunity to build products that empower our customers to seamlessly connect to the external applications they use on a daily basis.

This team owns a variety of domain-related areas:

  • Identity and access management
  • Multi-factor authentication 
  • Single sign-on
  • Authentication settings 
  • Authentication risk analysis
  • Activity logging, etc.

Responsibilities: 

  • Spearhead the design, development, and scaling of Rippling's next-generation authentication services, requiring the highest uptime of all Rippling products
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to shape and execute the team's strategic roadmap
  • Leverage industry-leading technologies to secure our customers
  • Solve complex problems unique to Rippling
  • Provide leadership and ownership over multiple product spaces
  • Champion user experience by closely collaborating with cross-functional partners and end-users

Qualifications:

  • A minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience building highly available, highly scalable platforms that power multiple products
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment by identifying areas of impact and independently pursuing them
  • Passionate about being in a product-focused environment where everyone cares deeply about customer impact
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely convey complex technical concepts
  • Passionate about mentoring and developing team members
  • Prior experience in Identity domain is a plus

A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed below.

The pay range for this role is:

135,000 - 236,250 USD per year (US Tier 1)
