About the Role:

Rippling is looking for a PEO Operations Manager to execute client onboarding processes and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance with various federal, state and local agencies. This is an exciting opportunity to become a foundational member of our customer operations team. You’ll help design scalable processes to bring new customers into our platform, while working cross-functionally to minimize the operational burden through software automation. It’s a highly cross-functional role with impact on the performance of our sales, product, and finance teams.


What You’ll Do: 

  • Lead and supervise operations team by overseeing the registrations and account maintenance with government agencies to support customer acquisition activities 

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the PEO (+ASO).

  • Develop and implement operational strategies.

  • Serve as a primary agency contact, ensuring satisfaction and efficiency of communication.

  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

  • Identify and implement process improvements.

  • Utilize technology for efficiency gains.

  • Implement quality assurance processes.

  • Communicate with stakeholders and provide reports.

  • Use our internal software tools to analyze data about prospective customers to provide sales with information required to prepare sales proposals

  • Review and process inbound escalations, or otherwise areas of challenge

  • Provide constructive feedback to managed ICs. 

  • Work with R&D to improve customer onboarding processes through automation


You Should Have:

  • Three to five years of experience in an operational role, such as payroll operations, regulatory operations, or support operations

  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Strong project management and organizational skills: high attention to detail with excellent work product, time management, and execution

  • Experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office, especially Sheets/Excel, for data analysis and task organization; familiarity with JIRA/Confluence, Slack, and HRIS systems a plus

  • Grit and patience, since you’ll have to deal with U.S. government agencies

  • Ability to work U.S. hours (Pacific time zone - PST)
