About the role

Rippling is looking for an experienced Employer & Contractor of Record Risk Strategy Manager to spearhead risk strategies for its EOR/COR products. In this critical role, you will design strategies to manage credit exposure, including wage liability risk, while driving growth and maintaining efficiency. You'll work with cross-functional teams, such as Product, Engineering, and Finance, to develop tailored risk management solutions suited to our dynamic, high-growth environment.

What you will do

  • Develop and lead global credit risk strategies for Rippling's EOR & COR products, ensuring they align with business goals and regulatory standards.
  • Mitigate wage liability risk by implementing strategies to meet payroll obligations.
  • Establish and enforce credit risk policies and frameworks to support business growth while effectively managing risk.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to design and integrate credit risk management systems and tools.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze the EOR & COR credit portfolio's performance, identifying trends and emerging risks.
  • Implement automated credit risk decisioning tools to boost efficiency and reduce losses.
  • Work closely with Business Development, Finance, and Operations teams to support new product initiatives and market expansion.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in credit risk management.
  • Maintain a strong operational control environment to ensure compliance and minimize potential risks.

What you will need

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in developing and executing credit risk and product strategies for commercial EOR or COR products at a major financial institution or in a high-growth fintech environment, including an understanding of wage liability risk and mitigation strategies in an EOR context.
  • Proficiency in data analysis with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills with a history of working with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SQL or Python is a plus.
  • MBA or master's degree preferred, especially in a relevant field such as data analytics, engineering, or statistics.
  • Prior experience with risk decisioning engines such as Datavisor.
  • Experience partnering with Product or Engineering teams to build new risk management decision engines and features.

A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed below.

The pay range for this role is:

96,000 - 168,000 USD per year (US Tier 1)

86,400 - 151,200 USD per year (US Tier 2)

81,600 - 142,800 USD per year (US Tier 3)
