Product Lead, IT

About Rippling

Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.

Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.

Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.

About the role

We’re hiring a Product Lead to help build Rippling’s IT business. This is a senior IC role for someone who wants to own ambitious product problems, work deeply with engineering and design, and ship products that change how companies manage IT.

The world of IT has changed. Employees now work across a sprawling set of devices, apps, permissions, data, AI tools, and automated agents. The old IT stack — MDM, identity, ticketing, inventory, compliance, and access governance as separate systems — creates fragmentation exactly where companies need control.

Rippling IT is the IT infrastructure for the AI era: one platform that unifies identity, devices, inventory, support, AI governance, and compliance on a single data graph, so policy is set once and enforced everywhere. This is one of Rippling’s most strategic and fastest-growing businesses, and we’re looking for a product leader who can make complex systems feel simple, find the highest-leverage customer problems, and turn them into products customers love.

What you will do

  • Own strategy and execution for a meaningful product area within Rippling IT, from customer discovery through launch and adoption
  • Develop deep customer empathy for IT admins, security teams, CIOs, and the employees who rely on IT systems every day
  • Work side-by-side with engineering and design to turn ambiguous, technically complex problems into simple, powerful product experiences
  • Use product judgment, data, customer feedback, and business context to decide what to build, what not to build, and how to sequence the roadmap
  • Partner with sales, marketing, support, implementation, and customer success to understand the market, sharpen positioning, and drive product adoption
  • Operate as a senior product owner inside a fast-moving business: write clearly, make crisp decisions, raise the bar for craft, and bring cross-functional teams with you
  • Develop a clear point of view on how AI will change IT, security, governance, and the way companies manage their workforce systems.

What you will need

  • Deep product experience building complex products
  • Strong product judgment and taste: you can simplify complex workflows without losing the power customers need.
  • Technical depth and curiosity, with the ability to reason through systems, edge cases, platform dependencies, and tradeoffs with engineering.
  • High clock speed, strong ownership, and a bias toward action.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, especially when aligning teams around ambiguous problems or difficult prioritization calls.

Nice to have

  • Real empathy for IT, infrastructure, security, or compliance buyers — you understand how they work and what makes their jobs hard.
