About The Role:
As a Workplace Manager, you will be responsible for the total success of a Rippling-managed site, overseeing day-to-day operations while driving strategic workplace initiatives. You will lead and grow teams, develop office policies and programs, and ensure that employees and senior stakeholders experience a high-functioning, efficient, and engaging workplace environment. Balancing frugality with business needs, you will develop workplace solutions that enhance productivity, support company growth, and align with Rippling’s leadership principles.
Please note this role will require being in the NYC office 5x per week, M-F.
What You'll Do:
- Regional Leadership & Strategy
- Lead all workplace functions across multiple sites within the region, ensuring consistent operational excellence, scalable processes, and proactive issue resolution.
- Develop and execute regional workplace strategies including long-term space planning, multi-site occupancy management, and cross-office policy development.
- Guide senior leaders and employees through sensitive and complex workplace transitions across multiple markets, ensuring change readiness and minimal disruption.
- Partner with executive leadership to define regional workplace priorities, influence companywide standards, and represent regional workplace needs in strategic planning.
- Oversee and influence multi-site budgets, forecasting, and cost optimization while balancing operational needs and business objectives.
Operational Excellence & Workplace Programs
- Oversee day-to-day operations for multiple offices, ensuring consistency and high-quality workplace experience across all sites.
- Manage regional food & beverage strategy, including vendor selection, contract negotiations, performance quality, and scalability across locations.
- Develop and enforce workplace policies across the region, including visitor management, access control/security protocols, and safety practices.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (ENG/AV, Marketing, IT, Security) to drive integrated workplace programs and ensure consistent standards across sites.
- Collaborate with the Workplace IT Manager to maintain and scale AV systems regionally, ensuring reliability and standardization across offices.
Project Management
- Lead end-to-end management of multi-site office expansions, relocations, densification, and swing-space strategies across the region.
- Partner closely with the Real Estate team on regional build-outs, ensuring timelines, budgets, and scope are aligned while protecting workplace standards.
- Oversee regional vendor coordination, logistics, and operational readiness to deliver seamless transitions across multiple offices.
- Establish regional project governance, track milestones, manage risks, and provide regular executive-level updates.
- Ensure all projects minimize employee disruption while supporting business continuity across locations.
Process Development & Regional Scalability
- Build scalable regional workplace systems, processes, and playbooks to support rapid growth and ensure operational consistency across sites.
- Create comprehensive documentation and training materials that enable local teams to operate independently while aligned to global standards.
- Leverage data analytics, attendance reporting, and workplace insights to inform decision-making at scale.
- Solve multi-site operational challenges requiring cross-functional alignment, detailed analysis, and strategic creativity in ambiguous environments.
People Management & Leadership Development
- Lead and mentor a distributed team of Workplace Coordinators, Office Managers, and key vendors across multiple sites, ensuring cohesion, performance, and operational consistency.
- Develop talent across the region by identifying skill gaps, establishing growth plans, and supporting long-term career development.
- Address and resolve personnel challenges fairly and decisively, fostering a high-trust, high-performance regional team culture.
- Influence employees and leaders across locations to adopt consistent workplace expectations, policies, and self-service behaviors.
- Engage in high-level policy debates using qualitative and quantitative data, align with executive decisions, and mitigate regional risks.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of Workplace or Facilities experience, 3+ years of people management experience
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams, including skilled individual contributors and vendors.
- Strong strategic and operational expertise in managing office environments, programs, and cost-effective solutions.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, earning trust from senior leadership and guiding employees through workplace changes.
- Highly adaptable, able to “unlearn” traditional corporate real estate models and embrace Rippling’s agile approach.
- Experience making data-driven workplace decisions, balancing qualitative insights with quantitative analysis.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, able to manage complex projects and competing priorities with minimal oversight.

This role will receive a competitive salary + benefits + equity. The salary for US-based employees will be aligned with the range below based on location; Tier 1 - San Francisco Bay Area/New York City Metro.
A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed below.
