About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer on one of our Spend Management teams, you will be a part of a product team that is building a brand new product from the ground up. You’ll be working cross functionally with our product and design functions and building full stack applications. As a senior engineer, you will be expected to take on large areas of ownership and provide technical leadership and mentorship for the rest of the team.

• Develop high quality software with attention to detail
• Work on complex engineering problems
• Have clear ownership over your projects
• Lay the groundwork for an entirely new product
• Become an expert on one of the newest high-impact products at Rippling
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship for the team

What you will need

• Strong product intuition: you care about design and user experience and are quick to identify how these could be improved
• Ownership: no problem is someone else’s, you challenge the status quo and fix problems when you see it, even if it is not your own
• Entrepreneurial mindset: you thrive in unstructured environments and enjoy identifying big problems in addition to solving them.
• Strong CS fundamentals
• 5+ years of professional work experience
• Experience with Python, Typescript, and React.js is preferred
• Experience building products from the ground up is preferred
