Manager, Recruiting Operations

About Rippling

Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.

Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.

Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.

We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.

About the role

Our world-class Recruiting team has a singular focus: fueling the company's hyper-growth with top-tier talent. As the Manager of Recruiting Operations, you will move beyond simple process oversight to become the architect of our global hiring engine.

You will be a key player in developing the recruiting infrastructure, technology stack, and analytics strategy. You will not only manage the day-to-day cadence of hiring operations but also lead a team of coordinators to drive operational excellence. By synthesizing complex data into actionable workforce intelligence, you will partner directly with Talent Leadership and Executive stakeholders to forecast trends, remove bottlenecks, and scale our recruiting capabilities to meet aggressive headcount goals.

What you will do

  • Strategic Process Architecture & Scalability
    • Design for Scale: Audit, deconstruct, and rebuild recruitment workflows to support a global organization. You will move us from "working processes" to "best-in-class, scalable systems" that withstand high volume without sacrificing quality.
    • Change Management: Lead the evaluation, implementation, and enablement of new recruiting technologies and programs. You will be a primary driver of adoption, ensuring that recruiters and hiring managers are aligned and trained.
  • Workforce Intelligence & Analytics
    • Advanced Analytics: Go beyond basic reporting. Build and own the "source of truth" for hiring data. Create predictive models for capacity planning, funnel health, and time-to-fill forecasting.
    • Executive Reporting: Construct high-level dashboards, translating raw data into narrative-driven business insights.
    • Data Integrity Governance: Establish rigorous data hygiene standards across our ATS and CRM, ensuring 100% accuracy for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Manage & Mentor: Lead, coach, and expand a high-performing team of Recruiting Coordinators. You are responsible for their performance management, career pathing, and day-to-day engagement.
    • Elevate Stakeholder Experience: Systematically improve the experience for Candidates, Hiring Managers, Interviewers, and Recruiting team members.
  • Operational Excellence & Compliance
    • Error Proofing: Architect fail-safe systems for scheduling and offer generation. Move from "identifying errors" to implementing root-cause solutions that prevent them entirely.
    • Vendor & Budget Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and optimize the recruiting tech stack budget for ROI.

What you will need

  • Experience
    • 6+ years of total professional experience, with a minimum of 4-5 years specifically in Recruiting Operations, People Ops, or Business Operations at a high-growth technology company.
    • 2+ years of direct people management experience, specifically leading coordination or operations teams.
    • Demonstrated experience guiding a recruiting organization through a period of rapid scaling (e.g., doubling headcount).
  • Technical Skills
    • Business System Mastery: Administrator-level proficiency in modern ATS and HRIS platforms. You should understand API integrations and workflow automation.
    • Data Proficiency: Intermediate to Advanced SQL skills are highly preferred. You must be comfortable manipulating large datasets and building complex visualizations in BI tools (Tableau, Looker, or similar).
    • Project Management: Proven track record of utilizing Agile or PMP methodologies to lead cross-functional projects from conception to launch.
  • Core Competencies
    • Curiosity: Business software is moving at a rapid pace with AI developments being released daily. You are someone who enjoys reading and applying new functionality to your work.
    • Strategic Vision: Ability to see the "big picture" of how recruiting impacts the broader business strategy.
    • Executive Presence: Confidence in presenting data and pushing back on senior leadership when necessary to protect process integrity.
    • Architectural Mindset: You don't just fix problems; you build systems that prevent problems from recurring.
