About the role

This role will have a significant impact on Rippling’s growth and success, and make technical and business decisions which will shape the future of the product and company. We are looking for someone who takes immense pride in building excellent scalable products, building winning teams and being able to rally these towards a vision, and can attract and retain top talent.

What you will do

• Build and drive day-to-day processes that lead to a highly efficient team of high performing engineers
• Set the direction of your team. Anticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges and create an actionable plan to solve them.
• Collaborate with sales, product, support, and operations teams in shaping the product

What you will need

• 7+ years of experience in software development and delivery, with in-depth knowledge of software architectures
• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager in leading small and mid-sized development teams
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or experience in a relevant field
• Solid programming skills, a track record, and passion for improving the code structure and architecture to enhance testability and maintainability
• Great project management skills to lead, care about product ownership, an outstanding customer-centric mindset, and solving problems for our customers.
• Hands-on development experience using Python, Django, MongoDB, React, AWS is a plus
