About the role

The Forms Quality Auditor is an individual contributor on Rippling’s Insurance Forms team responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of all forms mapping work completed by ICs. This role is the quality gate of the team — owning end-to-end audit workflows, identifying patterns in defects, and driving measurable improvement in output quality.

Beyond auditing, this role is expected to be a process innovator: identifying workflow inefficiencies, building lightweight tracking frameworks in Google Sheets, and proposing scalable process improvements that reduce rework and improve turnaround times. The ideal candidate combines a sharp eye for detail with an ownership mindset, and is equally comfortable reviewing field-level form configurations and presenting quality metrics to leadership.

What you will do

  • Audit forms completed by the team for relevant insurance lines to ensure data is accurate and meets provider rules.
  • Check forms before they are submitted to make sure data is pulled correctly and the data formats match requirements.
  • Use a standard scoring system to review work fairly and track quality over time.
  • Identify, log, and resolve forms issues quickly to minimize downtime and recurring inefficiencies.
  • Manage the team’s metrics dashboard (in Google Sheets) to track error rates, response times, and overall volume.
  • Find the root cause of issues and turn those findings into clear actionables for the team.
  • Suggest and test new ideas to make the review process faster and reduce mistakes.
  • Collate all findings and keep team SOPs up-to-date.
  • Give clear feedback to team members and work with managers to help coach those who need it.
  • Be the go-to expert for tricky questions about forms, rules, and system logic.
  • Work with Product and Engineering to flag system bugs using clearly detailed Jiras.
  • Talk to partners, brokers, and internal teams to resolve any external form or data issues.

What you will need

  • Experience: 3+ years in insurance operations, benefits administration, or forms management; ideally at an insurance carrier, TPA, broker, or HR tech company.
  • Auditing Background: Proven experience in QA or auditing operational/technical work, with a track record of improving quality scores or reducing error rates.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of US insurance forms (enrollment, EOI, life events) across medical, dental, vision, life, and disability lines.
  • Technical Logic: Solid grasp of form-mapping logic; knowing how backend data fields populate forms and how to troubleshoot data breaks.
  • Data & Tools:
  • Intermediate Google Sheets (formulas, pivot tables, building dashboards).
  • Adobe Acrobat (creating and managing fillable PDFs and field configurations).
  • Jira & Salesforce (managing cases and tracking system bugs).
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, clear communication with both technical teams and external carriers/brokers, and a knack for solving and not just flagging problems.

Good to Have

  • Experience building QA frameworks, audit scorecards, or SLA reporting processes.
  • Background in SaaS, HR tech, or insurance-tech environments.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration platforms or carrier portals.
  • Experience mentoring junior operations team members.
