About the role


The UX Strategy function at Rippling is a critical part of our mission to create a scalable, high-performance website that is not only the most important marketing property but also a critical sales asset. Reporting to the Director of Web Experience, you will be integral in driving and implementing the vision for the next generation of Rippling.com. As an expert in digital user experience and web information architecture, you’ll blend marketing vision with qualitative and quantitative research to build and transform the visitor journey.


We are looking for a Senior UX Strategist to lead UX for Rippling.com including user testing, persona development, and journey mapping, and to support the web team in the continued buildout of our design system.


You will be based in our San Francisco, CA office and will be required to be in office 3x/week.

What you will do

  • Define, evangelize and continually evolve the UX and web experience strategy.
  • Optimize our information architecture, navigation systems, and design system components through user research and advocacy of UX best practices.
  • Develop repeatable page templates, user flows, journeys, personas and other strategic UX artifacts to define better and more scalable digital experiences.
  • Create wireframes, content models, prototypes or other artifacts to share your UX vision.
  • Partner with designers and front-end developers to bring your ideas to life, going from design to code to testing, within hours.
  • Conduct audits and heuristic evaluations of legacy or competitor experiences.
  • Drive digital strategy for global audiences, considering localization and translation needs.
  • Drive improved engagement and conversion through UX-focused CRO tactics, A/B testing, and experimental web strategy.
  • Scale strategies for content marketing and personalization across systems, personas, campaigns, and key user journeys.
  • Partner with global SEO teams to balance experience optimization for both users and web crawlers.
  • Foster agile processes and approaches that rapidly iterate on multiple strategies.

What you will need

  • 7+ years of experience leading digital UX strategy for large companies or agencies.
  • Expert in both UX and Digital Strategy, and blending the two.
  • Proven record of delivering customer-focused business outcomes, where insights informed strategies leading to measurable results
  • Experience designing for enterprise CMS solutions, preferably Contentful and Wordpress.
  • Expert in UX design, research and prototyping tools (Figma, After Effects, Usertesting.com, etc.)
  • Strong portfolio that showcases multiple examples of your relevant experience.
  • Comfortable leading reviews and workshops with passionate stakeholders and executives
  • Creative thinker and innovative problem solver

108,000 - 189,000 USD per year (US)
