About the role

Rippling's billing platform drives our ability to serve our customers with a comprehensive product suite. The billing team manages the product offerings, contracts, and pricing that powers Rippling’s revenue generation and growth. We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the development and innovation of our billing infrastructure. You will work closely with an engineering team to build a platform that supports contracting, product pricing, custom packages, and unique sales channels. You will manage subscriptions and revenue collection. Collaborate across teams, including sales, finance, business operations and go-to-market to refine pricing models and sales packages. Support all product teams at Rippling to put their products in the hands of our customers.  


What role do Product Managers play at Rippling? The product team owns Rippling’s product direction, defining what to build in order to solve customer problems in a way that allows them to succeed. We do this by intimately understanding the market, our customers, and the perspectives of our key stakeholders and synthesizing that into a product that is effective, efficient, and easy to use.


What you will do

  • Lead a comprehensive billing roadmap for a multi-product business, accounting for multiple currencies, reseller and partner billing channels, and custom pricing arrangements for larger enterprise customers
  • Build and maintain internal tools allowing sales and operations teams to build contracts, apply discounts, and generally facilitate closing deals   
  • Work with Rippling’s product teams to launch new products and enter new markets
  • Develop and manage a customer-facing Billing experience for users to track subscriptions, payments, contracts, and discounts 
  • Work closely with finance and accounting teams to develop robust forecasting, ensure accurate revenue recognition, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations 
  • Collaborate with go-to-market teams to develop and refine pricing models and packaging strategies.
  • Assist customer success and support teams to resolve billing inquiries, disputes, and escalations promptly.


What you will need

  • 5+ years of product management or founding experience
  • Strong understanding of billing systems, revenue recognition, and subscription-based business models.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills
  • Thrives in understanding complexity and transforming it into simple user experiences 
  • Deep technical, analytical, and problem solving skills  
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication & organizational skills
