About the role


Benefits is one of Rippling's largest and most important product categories, and the Benefits Operations team is critical to getting companies enrolled in the right benefits. The team manages tens of thousands of enrollments every year.


Rippling is looking for an Operations Analyst to support our EDI and API operations. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, debugging, and maintaining client-level configurations and assisting in resolving any errors returned from multiple insurance carriers. This role will require significant engagement across insurance carriers, customers, and a number of internal departments, and will have a major impact on the success of Rippling's Benefits platform.

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end setup of new EDI/API implementations (834, JSON, and carriers’ proprietary files) and post-production support for our growing client base, including carrier requirements gathering, file mapping, testing, error report handling, and discrepancy resolution
  • Act as the primary point of contact with insurance carriers, customers, and brokers to resolve issues related to EDI/API transactions
  • Identify process gaps and areas where improvements can be made
  • Own productivity metrics and ensure adherence to SLAs
  • Support EDI/API connections post production

What you will need

  • 3+ years of experience in EDI file transmissions (834 files or proprietary files) and enrollment/member eligibility management.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Good attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize.
  • Knowledge with API is a plus.
