Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.
Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.
Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.85B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.
We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.
As the Product Design Lead focused on the new company experience, you’ll shape one of the most critical parts of Rippling’s ecosystem: how customers get started. From creating a company to adding users, setting up products, and importing data, your work will define the first mile of the customer journey—and directly influence how fast and confidently new customers find success.
You’ll lead the design of a unified onboarding framework that powers product activation across Rippling. Whether customers are self-serve SMBs or managed enterprise accounts, activating a single product or an entire suite, your work will help them get started quickly. You’ll craft platform primitives that let product teams plug seamlessly into a shared onboarding system, while also building customer-facing experiences that are polished, adaptive, and clear. You’ll partner closely with individual product teams to simplify their setup flows, remove friction, and deliver a streamlined, cohesive entry point into Rippling.
You’ll also rethink how users are added to Rippling, especially when hiring isn’t involved. That includes designing for customers who need to sync users from existing systems, or who are operating without an HRIS altogether. Through it all, your job is to make complex systems feel simple and to own the journey from sign-up to first success.
This is a role for a designer who thrives on complexity and scale. You’ll work closely with product and engineering peers who move quickly and think in systems, and you'll join a design org that values autonomy, depth, and impact. We ship fast, sweat the details, and treat onboarding as a platform challenge, not just a set of screens. Success here is measured not just in pixels shipped, but in adoption, activation speed, and the quality of the foundation you lay for every product Rippling offers.
If you’ve led design for onboarding, configuration, or platform-scale B2B products—and you’re excited to own the front door to one of the fastest-growing platforms in business software history—we’d love to talk.
If you don't necessarily meet all of these requirements, we still encourage you to apply. Skills transfer in unexpected ways, and diverse perspectives often lead to the most innovative solutions.
