About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant  to help strengthen our financial foundation as we grow. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping how we track, manage, and report on inventory - helping bridge the gap between our accounting and operations teams. You’ll ensure our inventory processes are accurate, transparent, and scalable, supporting smarter decision-making across the business.
This role is a great fit for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys bringing structure to complexity. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of inventory accounting while contributing to process improvements that make a real impact on the business.

What you'll do

  • Lead inventory accounting processes: Oversee financial controls for inventory, including standard cost maintenance, reconciliations, and variance analysis, to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Own the close process for inventory: Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting during month-end and quarter-end close cycles.
  • Bridge finance and operations: Partner with operations and warehouse teams to design processes that ensure inventory accuracy across all locations.
  • Analyze costs and variances: Monitor standard costs against actuals, propose updates, and deliver clear insights into cost drivers and product profitability.
  • Improve systems and processes: Help implement stronger policies, tools, and controls to scale with the business, including enhancements to ERP and reporting systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with Finance, Operations, AP, Payroll, and Tax teams to align policies and drive efficiencies.
  • Support audits and reporting: Respond to audit requests and contribute to ad-hoc analyses that support business decisions.

Who you are

  • Analytical and detail-oriented: You enjoy working with numbers, spotting trends, and building reliable processes.
  • Collaborative partner: You thrive in cross-functional work and value building strong, respectful relationships with colleagues across teams.
  • Curious and growth-oriented: You look for ways to improve processes and enjoy learning new systems and approaches.
  • Ethical and responsible: You bring integrity to your work and take ownership of accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.
  • Adaptable and solutions-focused: You can navigate change in a growing company and take initiative to propose improvements.

What you'll need

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, including inventory accounting in retail, consumer products, or e-commerce.
  • Technical skills: Strong Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables) and experience with ERP systems - Netsuite is required.
  • Accounting knowledge: Familiarity with US GAAP, SOX 404, and cost accounting concepts such as BOM, standard costs, and landed cost allocation.
  • System familiarity: Exposure to inventory management systems and accounts payable/expense tools (Airbase, Bill.com, Concur, etc.).
  • Communication: Clear and concise in both written and verbal communication.

We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every qualification listed above. We're committed to building a diverse team and recognize that skills can be developed in many different ways.

Compensation
