Radio Frequency Engineer – High Power Design

About Rivet

Rivet is an American company building integrated task systems — fusing hardened hardware with software, sensors, AI, and networking — for industrial workforces and defense personnel. We create capabilities that multiply the effectiveness of every individual and withstand the world’s toughest environments.

We serve the people who build, operate, maintain, and defend our way of life. From technicians and engineers to first responders and service members, they embody the hard work, ingenuity, and meritocratic values that drive Western prosperity. Yet too often they are forced to rely on outdated tools that fail under modern pressures. Rivet exists to reset that priority.

At Rivet, you’ll join a mission-driven team that fuses disciplines to deliver decisive outcomes where they matter most. Whether shaping our technology, strengthening our partnerships, or building our culture, every role here contributes to equipping the front lines with the modern systems they deserve.

Who Thrives Here

• People with a deep disdain for bureaucracy, empire building, groupthink, dogma, corporate babble, and wasted time

• Teammates who want to work exclusively alongside others at the top of their field

• Experienced, no-nonsense professionals who are execution-focused and deliver high-quality solutions above all else

Role Description

As an RF Engineer specializing in High Power Design, you will architect and integrate high-power transmitter systems for Rivet’s next-generation platforms. You will design RF front-end architectures, integrate amplifiers and antennas, and validate system performance through rigorous testing. This role demands both deep RF expertise and practical engineering to bring high-power solutions into mass production.

Role Objectives

The objective of this role is to deliver high-power RF subsystems that meet Rivet’s performance, safety, and reliability requirements. You will be responsible for designing, testing, and scaling transmitter systems that form the backbone of Rivet’s advanced communications capabilities

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong RF fundamentals with expertise in high-power transmitter front-end design and subsystem integration.
  • Experience integrating RF subsystems such as high-power amplifiers, waveguides, isolators, and antennas.
  • Knowledge of power supply design for RF transmitters.
  • Proficiency in RF link budget analysis and system-level performance evaluation.
  • Hands-on experience with RF bring-up, validation, and debugging using test equipment.
  • Familiarity with RF schematic and PCB layout best practices.
  • 3+ years of experience designing RF hardware for mass-produced products.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to manage projects independently.
  • Eagerness to take on new challenges, learn continuously, and thrive in a start-up environment.
