Location: Office located in Sandy, Utah
Department: Finance
Reports To: CEO
Rivet Overview:
Rivet is a venture-backed SaaS startup building vertical software for healthcare providers to make the U.S. healthcare system more transparent and efficient.
We’re looking for a Finance and Accounting Lead (open to appropriate title based on experience) who will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities and strategies within the company.
Requirements:
- Experience working in accounting and/or finance (bonus points for both) at a strong organization. The likely hire is someone who has 3+ years of strong work experience and has learned from the best, ready to step up in owning accounting and finance. We are most likely not hiring the “been there done that CFO” who has IPO’d three times, though we would like to chat with exceptional candidates and be taught why we might consider evaluating this role differently than our current plan.
- Scaling-startup-compatible attitude: No task is beneath you; no opportunity ahead is too great for you. We want to work with someone who will do the job and optimize it before adding a new team member, but always look to add value with the highest leverage.
Responsibilities:
- You will own Accounting and Finance at Rivet. You are Rivet’s first full-time hire for this despite growing into 8 figures of revenue, completing audited financials, and raising over $30m in capital. There is a strong foundation, but we want a complete owner in every sense of that word to grab the baton and widen the gap. You will directly do or manage the areas including but not limited to the below:
- Monthly bookkeeping and monthly close
- Deal desk management with sales and renewals
- A/P and A/R
- Historical and operational reporting, insights, and analysis
- Future forecasting and modeling in partnership with CEO and broader executive team
- Proactive analysis to improve key unit economics (discounting, gross margins, product monetization, etc)
- Lead through financial audits, fundraising due diligence, board meeting preparation, and other operational demands on assembling and providing financial data
- Anything and everything needed from finance, both yourself as well as eventually as you grow the team
Why Rivet?
- Healthcare administration is awful and we’re making a dent in that ever-so-important universe, reimagining the financial and revenue cycle technology stack for healthcare’s hardest jobs. Where other products stop, we begin.
- Ownership and accountability - we'll give you the reigns and hold you responsible for delivering great results (while helping you along the way).
- Wear lots of hats - we're small and scrappy, so you'll learn first-hand about the different aspects of a SaaS company.
- Ship product early and often - you'll learn which ideas worked or not so you can iterate quickly to build a great product.
- Work with a best-in-class team - we're driven, smart, hard-working, and we have a ton of fun together.
- Be yourself - we recognize and celebrate our differences and want you to bring your full self to work.
- Mentorship - our leaders and fellow Riveteers will challenge and support your growth and development.
- Great benefits - including 100% of healthcare premiums paid, strong HSA contributions, stock options, PTO, and more.
