We’re seeking a versatile Diesel Mechanic and Detail Supervisor to maintain and manage the performance and appearance of our fleet. In this role, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel vehicles while also overseeing the detailing operations to ensure each vehicle meets RMA’s high standards of safety, reliability, and presentation. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, has strong mechanical and leadership skills, and is dedicated to upholding excellence in every task.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform thorough inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, transmissions, and other mechanical components of company vehicles.
  • Conduct preventative and routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues accurately and efficiently.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, ensuring all work meets manufacturer and company standards.
  • Test drive vehicles to verify repairs, diagnose performance issues, and ensure proper functionality and safety.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance repairs and inspections in compliance with company and DOT requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.
  • Supervise the detailing team to uphold RMA’s high standards of vehicle appearance and cleanliness.
  • Order, track, and manage inventory of parts, tools, and detailing materials to support daily operations.
  • Communicate effectively with management and other departments to coordinate vehicle availability, repair schedules, and operational priorities.
  • Respond to road calls and perform on-site repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment promoting adherence to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned


 REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in completing repairs and maintenance task
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
