POSITION STATEMENT:

If you are an experienced automotive professional looking for a hands-on opportunity, RMA Worldwide invites you to join our Maintenance team as a Gas Station Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic. This position is based at our BP gas station facility and supports preventative maintenance and repairs for one of the newest and best-maintained transportation fleets in the industry.


The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically skilled, and experienced in diesel and general vehicle repair. Candidates must provide their own tools and be willing to travel up to 25% as needed to support fleet operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform on-site maintenance on fleet vehicles in an outdoor facility environment
  • Complete preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and repairs identified through DVIR reports
  • Conduct diagnostic testing and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
  • Inspect diesel vehicles and equipment for wear, damage, and mechanical concerns
  • Disassemble, repair, rebuild, and replace engine components, pumps, generators, transmissions, and differential systems
  • Perform road calls and service support as needed
  • Safely operate company vehicles for testing, positioning, and servicing
  • Follow all safety and maintenance procedures to support fleet reliability and compliance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to exert force exceeding 100 lbs occasionally
  • Frequently lift and move objects over 50 lbs
  • Regularly handle tools and equipment weighing more than 20 lbs
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Minimum 3 years of automotive or general mechanical experience required
  • Diesel repair experience preferred (Cummins and Detroit engines a plus)
  • Prior transportation industry experience preferred
  • ASE Certification preferred
  • DOT inspection experience preferred
  • Maryland State Inspection license preferred
  • Must supply own tools
