About the role

This position is responsible for providing environmental, health, & Safety support at Gearbox Express to help foster a safety culture around RNWBL’s guiding safety principles. This position will be a direct report to the SVP of Manufacturing at RNWBL. The position will also interface and work closely with RNWBL VP of Safety.

Basic Responsibilities:

· Management and oversight of RNWBL Learning Management System

o Responsible for overall management and administrative organization of the current LMS System.

o Assist with assigning training and learning plans to technicians across the platform in accordance with the Global Training Matrix.

o Assist with crediting training when necessary

o Assist with updating and developing training plans as necessary.

o Assist with monitoring and pulling training reports. Notify applicable operations/management teams of past due or expired trainings.

· Real Time Monitoring

o Lead monthly department safety KPI presentation

o Assist with reviewing, following up, and closing out safety reports submitted through DSPTCH (Events, Good Catches, Safety Walks, etc.)

o Assist with auditing or carrying out various compliance related safety forms submitted in DSPTCH (Compliance Inspections, Job Briefings, etc.)

o Assist with administrative development and improvement of Safety forms in DSPTCH

o Assist with perform periodic EHS Engagements/audits of work activities at Gearbox Express to ensure compliance with regulatory and all RNWBL EHS programs and procedures

· Safety Programs

o Assist with reviewing and updating current EHS Programs and policies as required

o Assist with document control of EHS Programs and policies

o Assist with training and roll out of new or updated EHS Programs and policies.

o Monitor regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure RNWBL Safety programs are compliant.

· Customer Pre-qualification

o Provide assistance to Gearbox Express when required to provide and gather various EHS statistics and training related requests for new or existing customers.

· Training Compliance & management

o Monitor training compliance for Gearbox Express employees via the RNWBL LMS Platform. Notify applicable operations/management teams of past due or expired training.

o Assist with continuous development and improvement of various EHS Training programs in accordance with RNWBL EHS programs and procedures

o Assist with updating and developing training plans for Gearbox Express as necessary.

· RNWBL Competency Program

o Assist with the development, implementation, execution, and overall management of Gearbox Express Technical competency programs.

o Assist with Performing Safety and Technical Competency assessments of technicians.

· Training -

o Assist with Providing training to build a foundation of safety, including but not limited to: RNWBL EHS onboarding training & Various EHS training including Crane Operator Training, Forklift, Emergency Action Plan, Electrical Safety, CPR/First Aid, etc.

o Assist in organizing curriculums, training aids and mock-ups.

o Administer exercises and tests by using predetermined objective criteria.

o Process training records and maintain files and databases in the RNWBL LMS system.

o Assess and evaluate achievement of students in technical knowledge, professional skills and activities in the field or classroom.

o Ensure that students follow all established policies, procedures and safety practices

o Maintain a professional appearance, posture, and demeanor.

· Support and lead incident investigations to help sites identify and document what happened and how to best prevent, or at least reduce, exposure to the hazards encountered.

o Ensure that lessons learned during event investigations are transparently shared with all applicable parties across the fleet and throughout the company.

o Support communication, reporting, and managing Work Comp claims as necessary

· Safety Meetings

o Lead daily morning kick off meetings along with bend and stretch

o Active participant in various weekly/monthly safety meetings across the platform.

o Support gathering and putting material together for teams to share during regular safety meetings at Gearbox Express

o Active participant during various safety meetings as necessary.

· Other – As necessary

o Assist with developing and driving EHS Focused initiatives and safety campaigns at Gearbox Express or in support of the RNWBL platform.

o Assist field operations department in identifying hazards and demonstrate methods and solutions to mitigate hazards encountered during the performance of operation-related activities. This includes working side by side with personnel and recommending appropriate controls.

o Use of Human Organization Performance (HOP) philosophy to foster comprehensive learning and improving safety culture for the prevention of incidents, injuries, and illnesses.

§ This includes working closely with technicians during the performance of tasks, demonstrating proper procedures/processes, providing feedback, and assisting sites to actively participate in their own safety using learning teams.

o Provide guidance to help ensure field operations employees are following various state/federal requirements regarding managing various types of waste streams on operating sites which includes Spent solar modules, hazardous waste, universal waste, etc.

o Facilitate the improvement of all EHS-related programs and procedures by gathering data, observations, and feedback at the site level and relaying it to EHS.

o Assist with solving EHS challenges that arise on a day-to-day basis. This includes working cross-functionally to implement engineering and administrative controls.

o Assist operations department in writing and reviewing work instructions or lift plans for various scopes of work. This includes providing feedback to the operations department as major work plans are carried out.

· Knowledge and experience practicing EHS and Quality Procedures.

· Good working knowledge of various computer software applications (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel required)

· Must be personable, energetic and have a customer service focus

· Must be self-motivated. Ability and willingness to take initiative and work without direct supervision.

· Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to a dynamic environment.

· Comprehensive interpersonal, speaking and writing skills to lead and influence personnel, to present technical information and proposed courses of action to members of management, and to effectively conduct regular training courses.

· Strong organizational skills.

· Must be able to work alone or with a team

Basic Requirements:

· Prospective Candidates must live in or be willing to re-locate within driving distance to Mukwonago WI.

· One (1) or more years of Manufacturing experience.

· One (1) or more years of increasing responsibility in a Safety/Training role.

· Technical/University Education degree, or its military equivalent, OR a High School Diploma / GED plus (1) or more years of manufacturing experience.

· Working knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, ASTM and other applicable EHS standards.

· Willingness to achieve Trainer certifications for a variety of topics including First Aid/CPR, Overhead Crane Operator, Hoisting & Rigging Equipment, Forklift, Mobile Elevated Work Platforms, etc.

· Willing to travel occasionally (up to 10%) for business meetings, training, or to support other areas of the RNWBL platform.

· Willing to adjust work schedule as needed

· Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Overhead Crane Operator Experience

· Wind / major component experience with some technical knowledge/background

· Undergraduate degree in Safety-related field.

· Recognized Professional Certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHST, etc.

· Previous experience as an EHS and/or training Coordinator, Specialist, or other EHS/Training-related positions

· Experience conducting root cause analysis safety investigations
