Install TA I

RNWBL Projects

Install TA I is required to perform installation activities of onshore wind turbines.  While on site reports to Project Site Manager and is a direct report to the Renewable Projects Director.  Is responsible for the execution of all installation activities and documentation processes on RNWBL Wind Installation Projects.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties

  • Directly responsible for the Site Wind Installation activities assigned by the Site, Project or Installation Manager from project mobilization through mechanical completion
  • Ability to communicate with Customer and Contractor in a professional manner
  • Positive and Proactive attitude, effective time management and initiative/personal drive to perform all required tasks
  • Drive Lean/TWI initiatives within installation scope
  • Drive PDR/Vision Safe within installation scope
  • Facilitate and reinforce a positive safety culture  
  • Work with the Site Manager, Project Engineers and Installation Leadership as required to review and implement all applicable installation documents and processes.
  • Verify technical compliance by establishing benchmarks for each installation activity.  Additionally, in process verifications should be performed with a minimum of one daily visit to each of the onsite activities, during all phases of Wind Turbine Installation
  • Prepare and deliver the Pre-Installation Meeting
  • Attend weekly Technical Advisor Meetings and War Room calls  
  • Attend and support Installation RFR Meeting.
  • Drive submission and resolution of service now cases
  • Manage execution of assigned RFR processes and documenting completion status in DPRO
  • Utilize the ServiceNow system to document and request guidance for ALL technical issues
  • While assigned to a project, represent RNWBL in a responsible and professional manner with integrity and by exercising good judgment, both during work hours and off work hours. Manage time and assigned resources responsibly to ensure successful completion of the site goals and objectives. 
  • Understand the correct process for completing Installation Job Books in GE BOX in compliance with QMS audit expectations/requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a team in between lead assignment.  Will be assigned as a TA during non-peak periods
  • Work with North America Installation Manager, Senior Leadership and M&P to drive continuous improvement to processes, procedures, and documentation.
  • Other Duties as  requested by North America Project Installation Manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 3 years of experience in Wind Field Projects Installation.


Eligibility Requirements

  • Ability to work across multiple business functions.
  • Ability and willingness to climb Wind Turbine Generators and Work at Height as needed.
  • Availability for weekend and holiday support as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Maintain valid passport.
  • Must be able to pass background check
  • Drug screen
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Thoroughly understand all GE Energy Wind Installation processes and procedures
  • Computer proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint or other standard business-required programs.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically 90% of the time, as required.
  • Ability and willingness to operate heavy equipment.
  • Ability and willingness to signal and rig loads up to one hundred tons.
  • Ability and willingness to work and climb heights a minimum of 300ft.
  • Ability to meet specific OSHA weight limits of 250 to 300 lbs. max.
  • Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability and willingness to manage repetitive weight - 50 lbs.
  • Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a range of environments including but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities.
  •   Ability and willingness to be available for rotation shift schedules 24 hours, seven days a week.
