About the role

The MCE Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end financial and operational management of MCE individual projects, including job costing, revenue tracking on a per project basis, and project closeout. This role owns the project lifecycle from receipt of the customer purchase order through final invoicing, ensuring accurate financial controls, timely execution, and optimized revenue recovery.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

-       Manage the accounting and project setup process beginning with sales handover and receipt of customer purchase orders, including:

o   Uploading customer POs

o   Creating initial sales orders and job numbers

o   Generating purchase requisitions and vendor POs (including crane vendors)

o   Closing out projects with final sales orders to enable AR invoicing

-       Collaborate closely with MCE Operations to support project planning, including crane hook-ready dates, labor coordination, tooling, and crane scheduling.

-       Maintain and update project trackers daily, capturing both crane vendor and customer financials, including:

o   As-sold vs. as-performed costs

o   Vendor invoices and customer pricing

-       Participate in the preparation and presentation of final job costings to customers, as required, in collaboration with the Head of MCE Operations and the VP of MCE – Commercial.

-       Lead coordination and settlement of final job costs with vendors to ensure accuracy and timely closeout.

-       Partner with the Head of MCE Operations to design and implement training programs that improve field documentation practices and maximize revenue recovery.

-       Maintain high-level benchmarking of project costs, schedules, and performance metrics for internal reporting and continuous improvement.

-       Project-manage special initiatives and non-standard scopes, including thermal events, new platform projects, repowers, and other strategic programs.

-       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve turnkey execution, operational efficiency, and financial outcomes.

Required Skills and Competencies

-       Deep knowledge of the wind energy industry, with specific experience in major component exchanges (MCEs) and repowers.

-       Significant technical and / or ‘hands on’ experience in MCE is recommended with direct experience in Project Management over MCE projects for 2+ years is a must.

-       Experience with Liftra cranes is strongly preferred.

-       Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and project management tools.

-       Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

-       Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

-       Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Education and Experience

-       Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.

-       Minimum of 7 years of experience in business operations or project management, preferably within industrial services or the energy sector.

-       Demonstrated experience with project management, reporting, lean management, and process improvement initiatives.

Working Conditions

-       Full-time position.
