About the role

This position is responsible for operations support and travel coordination. The Housing Specialist works directly with hotel vendors to negotiate options for assigned cities. They will communicate with vendors, operations, and account managers daily to answer questions, provide updates, and work on any necessary changes. This individual must be able to learn a deep understanding of all travel services offered and be able to effectively negotiate and communicate with vendors, ensuring timely and accurate updates are provided in a competitive market. They must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, fulfill customer satisfaction, and drive optimal results. What you'll do

Communications

  • Communicate verbally at a high level regarding all services to present best options (accent training preferred).
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing at a high level while negotiating options with hotels.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and solution-oriented mentality.
  • Foster new relationships, repair damaged ones, and follow up on vendor communications. 
  • Stay flexible and adapt to constant client-driven changes. 
  • Resolve any issues that may derail meeting itinerary delivery dates. 

Operational Proficiency

  • Be proactive in research of hotel locations and hotel reviews based on client needs.
  • Negotiate the lowest rates and concessions for accommodation.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate hotel questions and client needs.
  • Recommend appropriate properties in each city to Account Managers by or before the deadline date, ensuring all options address client priorities.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail while staying ahead of project deadlines. 
  • Assist Account Managers in any conflict resolution.
