Job Summary: 

The Pricing Analyst is a key member of the Pricing Team, the team responsible for developing customer savings strategies and driving RoadRunner’s revenue and profitability. The Pricing Analyst will collect, organize, and utilize a wide variety of information and resources to analyze the expected costs and revenues of potential business relationships. 


In this role you will become an expert in the waste & recycling brokering industry. You will spend most of your day exploring every detail of a customer’s waste & recycling operation with the goal of saving money, diverting waste, and growing revenue and profit. To succeed you will need to think critically, communicate efficiently, and solve problems creatively. The day-to-day involves a high level of decision making, multitasking, and prioritizing as you will frequently juggle multiple accounts simultaneously while also engaging in third party vendor interactions 


 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze hauler-customer relationships to identify cost-savings and generate profits.  Develop preliminary strategies to increase recycling and optimize efficiency of our customer’s waste & recycling operations 
  • Communicate frequently with Sales Development to ensure effective flow of information between Sales, Pricing, Operations and Marketplace Solutions teams (Slack, Zoom, Gmail,Salesforce). 
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships to negotiate material management agreements for RR and customers.  
  •  Research, monitor, and project trends in the waste and recycling industry to maintain data integrity. 
  • Discover, improve, and build efficient processes throughout the business.
     

% Travel required: Less than 1% - occasional travel will be required for team and company gatherings.

  • Reports To: Pricing Manager
  • Direct Reports:  None
  • Interacts with: Operations, Sales Development, Circular Solutions and Special Waste teams. 


Skills and Experience:

  • 1-2 years of analytical experience. Candidate should posses a strong interest in crunching numbers
  • Decisive – Candidate will use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make prudent decisions in a timely manner. 
  • Adaptable – Candidate is comfortable with constant change in a fluid and dynamic working environment.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, ability to act without having the whole picture using sound judgment and strong decision-making skills.  
  • Passionate about business results and quality, with a strong sense of accountability, metrics, and ownership.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to grasp the tactical details.
  • Candidate possesses strong verbal and written communication skills who can capture a group’s interest and maintain it as well as the ability to facilitate meetings with diverse and sometimes conflicting points of view.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels and across all functions of the organization.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and effectively prioritize conflicting assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Excel Skills – Ideal candidate is proficient. 


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Data Analysis, Supply Chain or similar field of study. An associate degree and/or relevant work experience can be substituted.

The pay range for this role is:

50,000 - 53,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
