Job Summary:

We’re seeking a passionate and driven Senior Product Designer to lead the design and user experience for our suite of products, including an in-house design system. You will be responsible for the entire design lifecycle, from user research to ideation to prototyping and testing to high-fidelity designs and features breakdown. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, stakeholders, and executives to solicit feedback, iterate, and gain approval for implementation of your designs. You will create and enhance features of RoadRunner’s homegrown internal applications, focusing on task efficiency and process optimization to allow our team members to deliver an excellent customer experience. This role requires strong systems thinking, problem-solving skills, and resourcefulness to deliver simple and effective solutions to complex challenges.


Primary Duties Including % of time

  • 25% - Collaborate with Product Team to conduct user research and create documentation
  • 25% - Create wireframes, prototypes, and high fidelity designs
  • 20% - Manage and contribute to the design system, ensuring design consistency and coherence across the system
  • 15% - Conduct usability testing and post-launch research to gather insights and inform design decisions
  • 15% - Work with engineers to review designs for feasibility and effort and provide feedback on user stories within the sprint

  • Interacts with: Product Team, Engineering Team, Stakeholders, Executives

Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in ux research and design is a requirement for this position as well experience with at least one popular design and prototyping tool (such as Figma, Sketch, InVision and Adobe XD)
  • 3-5 years of working experience in Product Design
  • Experience creating user flows and design architecture from the ground up
  • The ability to design experiences for different types of users, across different interfaces and devices
  • Familiarity working with design systems is required. Experience building and maintaining a homegrown Design System Library is preferred.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, ability to act without having the whole picture using sound judgment and strong decision-making skills.
  • Passionate about business results and quality, with a strong sense of accountability, metrics and ownership.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to grasp the tactical details.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, is dynamic, and can capture a group’s interest and maintain it as well as the ability to facilitate meetings with diverse and sometimes conflicting points of view.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, multi-task and effectively prioritize assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels and across all functions of the organization.
  • Proven ability to organize/manage multiple priorities coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever changing business needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving. Solid decision making in a timely manner.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in UX, product design, human-computer interaction or related field

The pay range for this role is:

115,000 - 135,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
