POSITION OVERVIEW
*Contract role with estimated duration of 4-6 months.*
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the development and management of a project plan to enable large-scale software migrations from legacy platforms to our latest products (SaaS). This role requires a strategic, customer-centric approach and collaboration with sales, customer success, product & engineering and finance to develop a plan to drive seamless transitions for hundreds of customers while ensuring minimal disruption.
The ideal candidate is a PMP-certified project manager with deep experience designing and executing migration strategies, developing comprehensive project plans, and collaborating across multiple departments. You will own the end-to-end migration planning process—creating the roadmap, messaging, tools, pricing, and customer segmentation—before transitioning execution to our internal team.
This is a highly visible, cross-functional role that will work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Finance to ensure seamless migrations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the strategic design of large-scale customer migration plans from legacy platforms to new software products.
- Manage the development of migration messaging and communication strategies to ensure customers understand the value and impact of the transition.
- Manage the process to identify and segment customers based on migration readiness, business needs, and potential impact.
- Manage the development of pricing models and tools to support the transition process effectively.
- Collaborate across departments (Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance) to align migration strategies.
- Monitor risks and dependencies, proactively mitigating challenges to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Handoff execution to internal teams after the initial 4-6 months of strategic planning, ensuring proper enablement and documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proactive Project Manager with a track record of managing large-scale software migrations (SaaS).
- Proven experience leading large-scale customer software migrations, managing hundreds of customers through transitions.
- Strong background in project planning, roadmap development, and stakeholder management.
- Experience creating customer messaging, pricing structures, and migration tools.
- Highly collaborative with experience working cross-functionally across multiple teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- PMP certification preferred.
