POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Manager to join our Elements product team, focusing on Back Office systems. This role will work closely with the VP of Product and cross-functional stakeholders to enhance the financial, customer, and operational capabilities of the Routeware Elements platform. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of analytical thinking, business process understanding, and technical fluency to help shape the future of municipal and private waste industry software.
This is a critical role designed to drive execution and innovation in billing, invoicing, payments, reporting, and service delivery workflows.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Back Office Product Ownership: Own and evolve features across billing, invoicing, adjustments, payment processing, and reporting modules within the Elements platform.
- Collaborative Roadmap Execution: Partner with the VP of Product to execute on a strategic roadmap informed by customer needs, market trends, and internal initiatives.
- Requirements Gathering & Definition: Translate high-level business problems into clear product requirements and user stories, ensuring they are well-scoped, technically feasible, and prioritized for development.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, QA, support, implementation, and customer success teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Voice of the Customer: Conduct customer interviews, user research, and support feedback loops to continuously improve usability and value of the platform.
- Quality & Readiness: Partner with QA and Tech Ops to support feature validation and troubleshoot escalated issues with a focus on root cause and long-term resolution.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to internal and external product documentation, support training efforts, and help scale product knowledge across teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–5 years of product management experience, ideally in SaaS, ERP, or back-office systems
- Strong understanding of billing, payments, customer management, or financial workflows
- Experience with agile product development and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Figma
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, actionable requirements and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to solve complex workflow problems
- Familiarity with SQL, APIs, or reporting tools like Sigma is a plus
- Experience in municipal services, logistics, or waste industry software is a bonus

The pay range for this role is:
110,000 - 125,000 USD per year (Remote (United States))
