POSITION OVERVIEW
The Purchasing Associate / Order Processing Supervisor plays a dual-role function, supporting both procurement operations and fulfillment order workflows. This position is responsible for hands-on purchasing tasks, including PO creation, vendor communication, and reporting, while also supervising the daily execution of order processing activities within the Fulfillment Department.
This is a critical role that ensures accurate procurement, timely order fulfillment, and smooth operational throughput across the various Routeware business units.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Purchasing Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily purchasing activities and ensure alignment with inventory needs and budget plans.
- Monitor inventory levels and usage to forecast purchasing requirements and ensure availability of critical materials.
- Support vendor relationships, including communicating lead times, delivery schedules, and negotiating pricing.
- Create and manage purchase orders with accuracy and timeliness.
- Consolidate and analyze purchasing data; provide weekly and monthly reports to the Purchasing Manager.
Order Processing Supervision
- Oversee the end-to-end order processing workflow, including sales order entry, hardware allocation, and customer documentation.
- Ensure the timely and accurate execution of all order processing tasks by the team.
- Act as the escalation point for process exceptions, discrepancies, or delays.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on order processing standards and system usage.
- Continuously review workflows to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in purchasing, supply chain, order management, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP and CRM systems (e.g., NetSuite, Intacct, Salesforce).
- Strong Excel and reporting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to process accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working cross-functionally with vendors, internal teams, and leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
