POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Director of Corporate Accounting to lead and oversee our corporate accounting team. This hands-on technical position will lead our global month-end close process and be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of our general ledger. This position plays a key role in helping the company achieve its growth and profitability objectives by addressing, documenting, and implementing new policies, procedures, and systems that will help scale the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for managing our global month-end close process, which includes journal entry review, balance sheet reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and ad-hoc analyses while adhering to tight deadlines
- Lead and manage the corporate accounting team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members. Corporate accounting functions include accounts payable, procurement, payroll, tax, and compliance
- Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger across legal entities (10 entities and growing)
- Lead the diligence and integration efforts of any acquired companies including valuation reports and purchase accounting in accordance with ASC 805 (4 acquisitions in the last 18 months)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including revenue accounting, FP&A, legal, and HR
- Proactively identify and address accounting issues, while maintaining strong internal controls and adherence to the company’s policies
- Monitor and evaluate emerging accounting standards and provide recommendations on their impact on the company
- Responsible for global compliance activities which include but are not limited to financial statement audits, stat audits, global tax, transfer pricing, business licenses and company registrations
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in high growth global SaaS organization
- Experience working in a multi-entity / multi-currency environment
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP including ASC 805 and multi-currency consolidations
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and adapt to a fast-paced work environment
Preferred:
- CPA and Sage Intacct experience
- M&A integration experience
- Prior experience working for a PE-backed company
- Transfer pricing and global tax experience
