This is a contract-to-hire role for ophthalmology studies in Doral, FL.

Position Summary:

The Ophthalmic Technician will perform advanced ophthalmic imaging techniques, such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Fundus Photography, for the purpose of clinical research trials.

Position Detail:

• Project-based PRN depending on trial needs, with potential for full-time conversion.
• Days and times will fluctuate week to week, but can be determined in advance based on the individual's schedule.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Sound knowledge of medical terminology.
• Sound knowledge of ICH/GCP and Regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and FDA and HIPAA policies and practices.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in measuring IOP, performing CDVA and retina imaging, and with pachymetry required.
• Ophthalmic Technician or Ophthalmology Assistant certification strongly preferred.
• 1+ years of ophthalmology experience required.
• 3+ years of experience with the TopCON Maestro 2 OCT device.
