We need an experienced, level-headed individual to oversee our steel fabrication operations. This role combines hands-on work with team leadership, perfect for someone who enjoys both the craft and the challenge of guiding others.  This challenging role requires manual dexterity, physical stamina, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. You'll need to be adaptable and resilient, as the work can be fast-paced and meticulous at times, but the satisfaction of seeing your high-quality work come to life will be well worth it!

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 5+ while actively working on projects 90% of the time

• Plan and prioritize weekly tasks, ensuring materials are always on hand

• Maintain high-quality standards while meeting project deadlines

• Bridge communication between office and shop teams

• Perform precision cutting, welding, grinding, and cleaning of steel

• Train and mentor team members, sharing your years of expertise

• Uphold a safe and clean work environment

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

• Proven experience working with welding tools, with a focus on optimizing their use for maximum efficiency and precision.

Job Knowledge & Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in welding and steel fabrication

• Proven track record in a high-quality manufacturing environment

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Capacity to read and interpret complex blueprints and specifications

• Proficiency with Google Suite and project management software

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs

• Comfortable standing, walking, and bending throughout the day

• Willing to work in an environment with dust, noise, and fumes

Additional Notes:

• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by management.
