This challenging role requires manual dexterity, physical stamina, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. You'll need to be adaptable and resilient, as the work can be fast-paced and meticulous at times, but the satisfaction of seeing your high-quality work come to life will be well worth it!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This is a working-manager position. This means you will oversee and manage a team of 5 or more people. You will also spend 90% of your time working on projects in the shop.
Should be able to plan weekly tasks for the team and ensure necessary materials are on hand.
Should be able to juggle priorities and keep the team on track to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to quality standards.
Will serve as a connection between the office and shop teams to ensure important information is communicated and known to all stakeholders promptly.
Oversee and optimize the installation of framing, insulation, wallboard, painting, and MEPs, ensuring strict adherence to blueprints, specifications, and company standards.
Analyze and interpret additional instructions from supervisors or management, developing efficient strategies for implementation.
Train, direct, and mentor employees and contractors in Finishing, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, using your attention to detail to ensure compliance with all safety protocols, even when working with hazardous materials.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Proven experience working with construction materials and power tools, with a focus on optimizing their use for maximum efficiency and precision.
Job Knowledge & Qualifications:
Proficient in reading, interpreting, and analyzing drawings and specifications, with the ability to quickly identify potential issues and develop proactive solutions.
Skilled at juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, using strong organizational and prioritization skills to keep projects on track.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to break down complex ideas into clear, actionable steps for team members.
Collaborative team player with the ability to foster strong relationships and work effectively cross-functionally, while also being self-directed and able to work independently when needed.
Tech-savvy and proficient with Google Suite and project-based software, with a knack for quickly learning and adapting to new technologies and tools.

A high level of physical exertion is required.
Required to lift and carry heavy objects up to 75 pounds.

Respirators must be worn while applying paint and primer.
Work Environment:
Works in a manufacturing environment.
Exposed to a high level of dust, odors, fumes, and loud noises.

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by management.
