Job purpose

The Financial Analyst will analyze financial performance to predict future performance and to advise the company on its financial strategy. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will provide support to the Controller and the CFO completing weekly, monthly and annual accounting close and financial reporting. This position is an entry level individual contributor who works directly for the CFO. This position will work with all levels of the organization to understand the business will drive the budget and forecast process across the company

Essential Job Functions

·         Participates in accounting close process.

·         Analyze operational, statistical and financial data.

·         Creates financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision making.

·         Develops financial plans and reports for organizational leaders.

·         Analyzes industry trends and makes recommendations based on those trends.

·         Responsible for development and deployment of annual budget including financial statements and capital expenditures

·         Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.

·         Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities                  

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Understanding of accounting concepts and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (US GAAP).

·         Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis.

·         General understanding of ERP systems and project management.

·         Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience

·         Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.

·         Two years of professional experience as an accountant, auditor, or computer programmer analyst OR valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certificate with at least one year of professional experience as an accountant, auditor, or computer programmer analyst.

• Visual acuity: Performing activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading 
• Occasional walking and balancing: Moving around the office or between different locations 
• Handling documents and equipment: This includes tasks like filing, using office equipment, and managing paperwork 
• Clear communication: Adequate hearing and speaking abilities to communicate effectively in-person or over the phone
