The Head of Facility is accountable for the strategic and operational management of the Egypt Center of Excellence facility, spanning two floors and supporting more than 300 employees.

This role ensures a safe, compliant, efficient, and high-quality workplace environment, aligned with global corporate standards and local regulations, while delivering an exceptional employee experience and enabling business continuity and growth.


Principal Responsibilities:

1. Facility Operations & Infrastructure

  • Own the end-to-end facility operations across both floors, including offices, meeting rooms, common areas, and support spaces.
  • Ensure reliable operation of all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, access control, security systems).
  • Ensure smooth operations over 24/5 and 365 days a year.
  • Act as the primary liaison with landlord/building management and external service providers.

2. People Management & Team Leadership

  • Lead, manage, and develop the on-site facility team (e.g., maintenance coordinators, facility coordinators, reception, support staff).
  • Set clear goals, roles, and performance expectations for team members.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and development planning.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, safety, and continuous improvement within the facility team.

3. Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manage all third-party vendors (cleaning, security, maintenance, catering, waste management, pest control, etc.).
  • Negotiate, monitor, and enforce contracts and SLAs, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and compliance.
  • Continuously evaluate vendor performance and drive service improvements.

4. Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with local health, safety, fire, and building regulations.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce HSE policies, emergency response procedures, and evacuation plans.
  • Lead regular safety drills, inspections, audits, and risk assessments.

5. Space & Workplace Management

  • Own space planning, seating layouts, and capacity optimization in alignment with business growth and hybrid work models.
  • Lead office moves, floor reconfigurations, expansions, and internal relocations.
  • Maintain high standards for cleanliness, aesthetics, and workplace experience.

6. Budget & Financial Management

  • Own and manage the facility operating budget.
  • Track expenditures, forecast costs, and ensure financial discipline.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, efficiency, and sustainability.

7. Stakeholder & Employee Experience

  • Partner closely with Site Leadership, HR, IT and other supporting functions.
  • Serve as the escalation point for facility-related issues and employee concerns.
  • Proactively enhance the overall employee workplace experience.

8. Projects, Sustainability & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead and deliver facility-related projects (renovations, upgrades, expansions).
  • Drive sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental initiatives.
  • Align local facility practices with global standards and best practices.


Skills:

  • 10+ years of total professional experience, including significant experience in facility management leadership roles.
  • Proven experience managing corporate facilities supporting 200+ employees.
  • Hands-on experience leading facility or operations teams.
  • Experience in multinational, technology, or professional services environments is highly preferred.


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Operations, or Business Administration.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., IFMA, NEBOSH, IOSH, PMP) are a strong advantage.
