About the Role

We’re looking for an Accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations of RTS.

This role will work closely with the Sr. Director of Finance & Accounting to ensure that core accounting processes run smoothly and accurately. You’ll play a key role in maintaining clean financial records, supporting reporting processes, and helping the team stay on top of payables, receivables, and bookkeeping.

Reporting Structure

You will report to the Sr. Director of Finance & Accounting

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable
• • Process and input invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage weekly pay run schedules for review and approval
  • Ensure proper documentation, coding, and approval of expenses
  • Support vendor communication and payment tracking
  • Manage vendor onboarding, including collecting and maintaining W-9s and required documentation
  • Maintain accurate and organized vendor records within accounting systems
  • Own the end-to-end 1099 process, including tracking eligible vendors, ensuring proper documentation, and preparing and distributing 1099s following year-end
  • Monitor AP aging and flag any issues or discrepancies
  • Assist in improving AP workflows, controls, and processes as the company scales
• Accounts Receivable
• • Generate and send invoices to clients and partners
  • Record incoming payments and reconcile accounts
  • Track outstanding receivables and flag overdue balances
  • Partner with internal teams to maintain accurate billing records
• Bookkeeping and Financial Records
• • Maintain accurate transaction coding in QuickBooks or equivalent systems
  • Support monthly close processes by ensuring records are complete and up-to-date
  • Assist with account reconciliations and financial data organization
  • Help maintain clean and audit-ready financial records
• Cross-Functional Support
• • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial tracking across projects and events
  • Support the finance team with ad hoc requests and reporting needs
  • Help improve and streamline accounting processes as the company grows

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping
• Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online (or similar)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
