Position Overview: 

Pricing is a key driver of Rugs USA’s success and integral to growing sales and profitability.  As the Manager of DTC Pricing, you will play a pivotal role in developing a holistic pricing strategy for our Rugs USA DTC business.  This role will have broad exposure and an opportunity to create the foundational pricing strategy for Rugs USA and develop new analytical models to evaluate our pricing strategy.  


Essential Job Functions: 

  • Develop pricing architecture with product and merchandising teams that aligns prices with the overall assortment architecture and desired competitive positioning 
  • Develop analytical and statistical models to identify opportunities to optimize prices for margin or revenue 
  • Manage markdown pricing process and analysis to balance maximizing sell-through and margin on all clearance and discontinued SKUs
  • Monitor product and category profitability to proactively recommend price changes to maximize revenue and profitability 
  • Develop reporting to monitor competitor prices and make recommendations for price adjustments based on competitor positioning 
  • Forecast impact of price and promotion changes to the business and analyze the financial impact of the changes post implementation 
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Ecommerce teams on promotion and pricing strategies including during large holiday sales events 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Economics, or related field; Advanced degree a plus 
  • 4 to 6 years of experience working in a retail or ecommerce business  
  • Pricing or Revenue Management experience required 
  • Excellent data analysis and analytical skills and comfort analyzing very large data sets 
  • Prior experience creating forecasts is required 
  • Expert using Microsoft Excel 
  • Familiar with financial and statistical analysis 
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or R a plus 
  • Comfort with data visualization and analysis software including Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik
