Position Overview
Position: Outside Sales Engineer
Location: Las Vegas / Southern Nevada
Rust Automation & Controls is seeking an Outside Sales Engineer to join our team in Las Vegas and Southern Nevada. In this role, you will build relationships, drive sales, and represent leading industrial automation solutions.
Key Objectives
- Develop strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Achieve sales goals through increased revenue and margin
- Execute territory and account strategic planning
- Identify and develop opportunities within the territory
Role & Responsibilities
The Outside Sales Engineer will support customers throughout the Las Vegas / Southern Nevada region, engaging with industrial and commercial end users.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in Rust Automation & Controls’ products and solutions
- Prospect and sell products, solutions, and services to industrial and commercial accounts
- Grow territory sales and margin through in-person visits, video calls, emails, texts, and phone calls
- Re-engage dormant customers using multiple communication channels
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners through calls, emails, webinars, seminars, and on-site visits
- Partner with the Inside Sales Engineering team to provide accurate and timely account information
- Conduct site walkdowns to identify opportunities
- Maintain a CRM database of accounts, contacts, opportunities, and projects
- Effectively present solutions and collaborate with internal teams to execute strategies
Qualifications & Profile
- Technical degree or 2–3 years of industrial sales experience
- Ability to travel within the territory, including occasional overnight trips
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and resilient with a positive attitude
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, NetSuite, Salesforce, and other CRM tools
- Collaborative mindset to leverage internal resources for results

80,000 - 100,000 USD per year (Remote (Las Vegas, Nevada, US))
