About the role
We’re seeking a Head of Finance & Accounting who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and enjoys balancing strategic oversight with operational execution. This role will oversee all aspects of accounting, reporting, forecasting, and compliance — ensuring accuracy, scalability, and strategic alignment with company goals. Reporting to the EVP of Finance & Operations, you’ll lead internal and external finance operations, serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, and help shape the financial foundation that supports RxR’s continued growth.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting functions and ensure accurate, timely bookkeeping.
- Serve as the main point of contact for our outsourced accounting team — managing communication, deliverables, and expectations.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; ensure financial statements are completed accurately and on time.
- Approve bills and major expenditures, maintaining strong internal controls around payment processing.
- Oversee preparation and presentation of key financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports).
- Own and continuously refine the organization’s financial model, including forecasting and scenario planning.
- Partner with leadership on financial planning, analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
- Act as the audit lead — working with outside auditors and ensuring compliance and readiness for annual audits.
- Develop and optimize SOPs for finance and accounting processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Lead or support cross-functional projects such as sales tax integration and new system implementations (currently using Sage Intacct).
- Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory obligations in partnership with external advisors.
- Maximize working capital through effective management of receivables, payables, and cash flow.
- Provide clear financial insights and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage the workflow and performance of internal and outsourced accounting resources.
- Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement across all finance functions.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA strongly preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in a PE-backed or high-growth startup environment preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct (or similar ERP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, audit processes, and internal control frameworks.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Benefits & Perks
