Are you energetic, ambitious, and looking to develop your career? Our Study Abroad department is looking to add an Admissions Assistant to their team in Cape Town. This department provides student placement services to universities in Australia, Canada, USA, UK, New Zealand, Netherlands, Ireland, Cyprus, Sweden and Mauritius. The Admissions Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the admissions process by managing lead prequalification, coordinating consultations, gathering documentation and ensuring a smooth transition for students from initial inquiry through pre-departure. This position requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and strong communication abilities to deliver an exceptional client experience.
You’re perfect for this position if you:
- Have relevant industry experience
- Have a diploma or degree (preferably in Psychology, International Relations or a related field)
- Have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Can manage a service delivery pipeline with strong attention to detail
- Have excellent written and verbal communication (English fluency required)
- Are familiar with international education
- Are self motivated, proactive and confident working independently
- Have strong administrative, organisational and reporting abilities
- Have strong customer service and advisory skills
- Can take initiative and perform effectively in a fast paced environment
- Can engage professionally with international clients, students and parents
- Are computer literate and proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook
- Are comfortable working with CRM systems or able to learn quickly

Your role and responsibilities:
Among other tasks, your main responsibilities will include:
Lead management and pre-qualification
- Receiving allocated leads from the CRM system
- Conducting qualifying calls to complete the pre-assessment report and collect parent details
- Scheduling meetings between qualified leads and the Study Adviser (including parent and student)
- Compiling and preparing pre-assessment reports for Study Adviser consultations
Document co-ordination and application support
- Following up with clients to gather required documents for university applications
- Assisting in creating institution selection reports based on Study Adviser recommendations (when required)
- Supporting the Visa & Admissions Adviser in preparing and submitting applications as needed
Client communication and pre-departure support
- Maintaining regular communication with clients to ensure timely submission of documents
- Sending pre-departure checklists and information on services such as airport pickup
- Providing ongoing support to ensure a smooth transition for students before departure
