Are you a Social Media whizz looking to join a high-performance, in-house Marketing team?


Sable International is seeking a creative and performance-driven Social Media Specialist to join our Cape Town Marketing department. This is a dynamic role where you will balance the artistry of organic content with the precision of paid Meta and LinkedIn advertising to drive results across multiple services and business units.


Job Overview:

This role involves strategic, executional and analytical ability. You will be responsible for the management of both organic content and paid advertising on all of our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and X) as well as the regular reporting and analysis of results. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in growing our Brand presence as well as lead generation capability via social media.

You’re perfect for this position if you:

  • Have a degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Have proven experience as a Social Media Specialist, preferably in an advertising agency environment, with a portfolio of past work as well as results.
  • Have a strong understanding of the targeting capabilities as well as user behaviour across major social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Have an excellent understanding of how to drive lead generation on social media channels.
  • Are comfortable planning, developing and executing in-depth content calendars.
  • Have good experience in Community Management and online Brand Reputation Crisis Management.
  • Have an analytical mindset and are proficient in Meta Business Manager and GA4.
  • Are proficient in content creation tools like Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, or other graphic design software (bonus if you are able to do video editing).
  • Are deadline-driven and can multi-task across many campaigns at the same time.
  • Are keen to develop yourself as the authority and expert in this field within an international company.

Your role and responsibilities:

As a core member of our Marketing team, you will help shape Sable International’s social media presence across a variety of local and international markets.

Among other tasks, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, creating, and publishing engaging content across a variety of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok.
  • Developing social media calendars in collaboration with the Marketing team to support the Brand, events and various services across the Group.
  • Planning and implementing successful lead generation campaigns for our various business units across the social channels.
  • Monitoring social media channels for audience engagement, responding to comments and messages in a timely manner (community management).
  • Analysing performances metrics per campaign and employing optimisation techniques if campaigns are under-performing.
  • Reporting on campaign performance and key insights.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Maintaining a consistent Brand voice as well as our Brand CI across all social media content.
  • Staying updated on social media trends, best practices, and platform updates.


Work environment and contract

  • Hybrid position based at our offices in Kenilworth, Cape Town.
  • Three days a week in office, two days remote.
