About the role


At Sage + Sound, the Floor Manager is a key member to the team at this location. You oversee the floor team, our Wellness Guides, who are the masters of all services, classes and client relationships within Sage + Sound. You set the tone and lead, driving teamwork and accountability throughout the Wellness Guide team and possess an enthusiastic, energetic, personable, and friendly disposition. You work with the AGM + GM to ensure the smooth running of the schedule and floor operations, you lead by example for all guests and members, as well as act swiftly and efficiently to any items that may arise throughout the day. You are a collaborative team player who has an in-depth understanding of Sage + Sound and drives seamless communication across all departments to ultimately curate unforgettable and educational experiences for our guests and members. Your main goal is to provide support to your team and take initiative on providing excellent customer service for guests. Every member of the floor team will look to you for guidance on a daily basis. We are a lead by example team, always. Leadership at Sage + Sound means setting the example and providing support in a top-down directive - meaning no task is ever too small.

What you'll do

  • Set an example and lead all Wellness Guides by holding true to the S+S Mission.
  • Be the bridge of communication between the floor team and managers.
  • Guide the tone throughout the space by maintaining a positive, collaborative team morale.
  • Guide clients through their treatment experience, making them feel safe, explaining the benefits of services, as well as making sure they always leave feeling better than when they walked in.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the practitioners to aid in all tasks to optimize the client experience.
  • Assist in managing schedules of hourly & part-time staff, including assisting with finding coverage.
  • Help oversee the day-to-day flow within the space.
  • Recommend services, retail, and classes to clients to enhance their experience.
  • Follow up with Wellness Guides regularly to ensure they have the most up-to-date information on events, offers, benefits, and other updates.
  • Take on additional tasks as needed to drive revenue/growth, achieve targets, and support the team at large.

Qualifications

  • Retail or hospitality experience a plus, but not required.
  • Beauty / wellness experience a plus, but not required.
  • Shopify experience preferred, but not required.
  • Willingness to give and receive feedback on improving the store environment and customer service.
  • A can-do attitude and the willingness to own every challenge and roll up your sleeves as needed.
  • A team player and self-starter who thrives working in an ambiguous, fast paced environment.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and be ready to lead by example, NOT just delegation.
  • Must be solution-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Must have strong people management skills.
  • Must have a strong work ethic.
  • Must be organized.
  • Must have an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills..
