Role Overview

SALUS is seeking a seasoned IT Ops Manager to spearhead our IT strategy, focusing on device management, system controls, security, and compliance, including SOC2. You’ll be the cornerstone of implementing and managing our IT infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency and security across the board. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing our IT needs, from G Suite administration to deploying new policies and processes that streamline operations.

By ensuring our IT infrastructure is robust, secure, and efficient, and by directly assisting employees with their IT needs, you'll be contributing directly to the smooth operation and growth of our company. This role offers a broad scope of responsibilities with significant opportunities for professional development and progression into strategic IT leadership positions.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the management and deployment of IT devices and systems
  • Lead SALUS’s efforts to maintain and enhance our security posture, including achieving and maintaining SOC2 compliance
  • Develop and implement IT policies
  • Manage Google Workspace environment, focusing on optimizing the shared drive structure and ensuring our teams can collaborate effectively
  • Work closely with department heads to understand their IT needs
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, overseeing procurement and budgeting for IT expenditures
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all employee IT issues and requests
  • Ensure a robust disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits of all systems
  • Lead cybersecurity training for employees.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of company data
  • Craft and execute a forward-looking IT strategy that aligns with SALUS’s growth ambitions, staying ahead of technological advancements

What You Bring

  • Describe the experience and attributes of the ideal candidate
  • Proven experience as an IT Manager/Lead, with a strong background in system and device management, security, and compliance
  • Knowledge of SOC2, ISO, GDPR or other compliance requirements and experience leading an organization through these certifications
  • Expertise in managing Google Workspace, including administration and optimization of shared drives
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IT policies and processes that streamline operations and ensure data security
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members across all levels of the organization
  • A proactive approach to IT management, with a knack for problem-solving and process improvement
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

The pay range for this role is:

90,000 - 110,000 CAD per year (Vancouver)
