About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our foundational commercial team supporting multi-omics services sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for hunting new business opportunities, leading prospecting campaigns, and supporting SFDC data accuracy. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proactive approach to driving sales growth.

 

Responsibilities Include:

·   Strong prospecting skills, capacity to cultivate client relationships, and ability to generate new leads in a must.

·   Manage Sapient’s CRM database in a diligent and timely manner to ensure high accuracy of information.

·   Performs market research to identify key clients and independently designs personalized outreach campaigns to garner customer interest.

·   Ability to independently present technical offerings related to ‘omics services.

·   Supports client document (e.g., CDAs, MSAs, SOWs, etc.) process from introduction to signature, and renewal.

·   Supports senior Business Development team members in managing customer accounts and ensuring excellent client service.

·   Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

·   Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field.

·   Two plus years of relevant work experience in business development, sales, sales support, or a related field. Preferably in the life sciences industry (e.g. biotechnology and/or biopharma) with prior work in "omics" or "mass spectrometry" preferred.

·   Experience in business development or sales analysis is preferred, including quota attainment and regional planning.

·   Strong understanding of market dynamics and competitive landscape.

·   Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.

·   Familiarity with CRM software and opportunity tracking.

·   Exceptional analytical skills with keen attention to detail.

·   Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability present complex information clearly.


Position Location: Boston, MA

Position Type: Full-time

Compensation: $70,000 - $130,000 Annually
