The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with rheumatic diseases, providing comprehensive care and management for conditions such as arthritis, lupus, and other autoimmune disorders. The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and patient-centered care.
· -Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
· -Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with rheumatic diseases in collaboration with the Rheumatologists (MD/DOs)
· -Prescribe medications and therapies to manage symptoms and improve patient outcomes.
- Provide clinical oversight and support for the infusion suite, including assessing patients prior to infusion, monitoring for adverse reactions, and rendering infusion services in accordance with established protocols and collaborative practice agreements.
· -Educate patients and their families about disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
· -Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including rheumatologists and other healthcare professionals.
· - Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
· -Participate in clinical research and contribute to advancements in rheumatology.
· -Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and thorough medical records of patient interactions and treatment plans.
· Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
· Current Nurse Practitioner license and certification.
· Specialization or experience in rheumatology or other specialty preferred.
· Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
· In-depth knowledge of rheumatic diseases and their treatment.
· Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and interpreting their results.
· Ability to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
· Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
· Commitment to ongoing professional development.
· Proficiency in EMR systems, documentation, and Microsoft Office Suite
