The Development Associate will possess knowledge of non-profit development, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and enthusiasm to be a part of a dynamic and growing team. The Development Associate will handle a variety of tasks related to institutional and individual giving. This individual will work with the Executive Director to manage relationships with current and prospective donors and research ways to bring in additional funds. This position is an integral member of the development team and will offer critical support to achieve the aggressive fundraising goals of the organization.
Position Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Reports to: Director of Development
Compensation Range: $30-$33 per hour (estimated $62,400 - $68,640 per year)
Location: Hybrid - required to be in the Glendale, CA office 2 times per week, with flexibility to be in office more as needed
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for the Development Associate role at Saving Innocence is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about using their skills to advance our mission of supporting survivors of human trafficking. They bring strong organizational skills and enjoy managing donor data, generating gift acknowledgments, and supporting grant tracking and follow-up. Comfortable with donor databases (ideally Virtuous), Microsoft Excel, and Mail Merge, they are confident working behind the scenes to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely communication with supporters.
They thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, contributing to a variety of projects including donor research, fundraising campaigns, and event planning—especially our Annual Gala. This person brings a high level of professionalism to each interaction, whether they're preparing mailings, assisting with donor gifts, or working with the Executive Director and Marketing Associate to amplify the organization’s visibility through printed materials, social media, and other communications.
